THE EFFECT OF INDONESIAN SPICE EXPORT TRADE LIBERALIZATION ON COMPETITIVENESS AND COMPETITIVENESS IN INTERNATIONAL MARKETS

Since long time ago, Indonesia has had a comparative advantage because of its geographical in spice commodities. In the era liberalization, order to be competitive same industry, Indonesian commodities must increase their export share by having distinct compared competitors from other countries. Therefore, purpose this study is determine effect Indonesia's trade liberalization based on competitiveness with competing countries and level competition for international market. The analytical methods used are Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Export Similarity Index (ESI), Overlapping (IEO) which discussed descriptively using secondary data UNComtrade 1989-2021. Trade indicated entry into WTO, AFTA ACFTA. results analysis show that even though very strong competitiveness, existence not enough market increasingly open. exports competitor tends decrease. makes each country specialization expand share. needs improve quality as well standardize differentiation products maintain so it can
